Butternut Creek Festival is a Top 20 Event

is once again designated as a Top 20 Event

Blairsville’s Butternut Creek Festival has recently been designated for the 2nd year in a row as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society. High Country Artisan Gene Harrison says, “We are excited to get this designation. The best events across the Southeast compete to receive the prestigious Top 20 designation and it means huge exposure for the Butternut Creek Festival.”

According to www.southeasttoursim.org, The Southeast Tourism Society represents tourism interests in 12 Southeastern states and speaks with a unified voice on matters of legislation, public policy and the future of the travel industry. The Southeast Tourism Policy Council is the advocacy voice for the Southeast Tourism Society, which is headquartered in Atlanta and whose states stretch from West Virginia to Florida to Louisiana.

Bill Hardman Jr., president and CEO of the Southeast Tourism Society, says, "Tourism ranks first, second or third as the largest industry in every state in the Southeast. Representing that industry to governmental leaders, particularly in Congress, is the fundamental mission of the policy council.”
